Re - the referendum for Scottish Independence. I was told that the people who are displaying YES signs in their garden etc are being given £70 or £80, not sure which, for displaying said signs. Is this true?

A quick google doesn't reveal any evidence of the claim.
Sounds extremely unlikely to me. But if you find out who's paying then tell them to send 50 posters and advance payment to me please.
On the other side there is a story that people who do not live in Scotland are being encouraged/persuaded to register for voting in the referendum. Neither seems to me very credible.
I've seen loads of YES posters in windows etc in Edinburgh... I haven't seen i NO poster yet, which seems strange to me.
I know lots of folk displaying them and not one is getting paid for it. In fact they pay for the massive big wooden ones.

Could it possibly be a smear campaign from the Better Together camp?
I doubt it because that would mean the yes camp have overspent which would void their vote anyway.
Oooh, who's paying that and when can I expect my cheque in the post?
Garbage!!
