Im looking at buying a kite for fun, but confused as to there being 2 main types, either a power kite (oval in shape) or a sport kite (M in shape) can anyone tell me the difference between these types, they are all about the same price and size, i just cant work out the advantages and disadvantages of each

I can't tell you a direct answer to your question but, if I were buying a kite I would make sure it is one capable of stunts. These have two lines to them and can be steered left and right and also do loops, plus you can actually land them. A fellow called Peter Powell (I think that is correctly remembered) came up with these first in the UK some 30 years ago, but his label vanished within a few years - although I still have one. I think something similar is available somewhere.
