Omg - What A Day!

Firstly, having done some chores, slipped into town for a coffee. A 'friend' walks in, someone I could have done without. Her hubby works in Saudi and is back over; she has a Brit/Italian bf who has been working in Benin - yes - she has been scammed before and made the paper, a substantial amount of brass.
"I need £5k to pay my warehousing bills on my oil equipment and then I can ship it back to the EU. Love you and we'll buy a million pound house in Cornwall, horse rearing and all that. Oh, and by the way, I have the money in a Paris account but need to be back to release it."
She's just moved and asked me a couple of weeks ago to act as a garantor on a loan. No way, rather that he ought to ask his landlord where they wanted to be paid and arrange according with a Swift - and just to go into Socgen or BNP in Benin. Stupid woman gets £5k from HSBC and sends. Has she been repaid yet no.
Then today, "I'm in Turkey and they won't let me out until I have paid a Muslim for rent - I need to get to London in person and release the money. Will you come out, as well? " £10k.
Well, tell sunshine get to a Brit/Itai consulate for a letter of attestation, then to a Santander in Constantinople or Istanbul and present your papers. And don't go out there.
Having got through this, it made me 20 mins late in calling the Alzheimer's mater to tell her to bathe, she having a dental appt for a filling this afternoon. Two mall calls and no joy on her picking up the blower. Come back and there's no sign of her anywhere.
She has wandered before, twice, but never the morning. My thinking, it's tied to the dental appointment. So a search down the back lane into the city, no joy but run into the wife of one of the local pubs - she went back one of the routes and out texts out.....
I cover two other roads and no joy. Call the police, the first time that I have had to do this. 1.38pm in she comes in a panda car, the young hunk of an officer and charming having found her coming out of the woods 2/3rs up the original road, no idea of who or where she was - until about 400 yards out.
So - then the dentist - 11 times in 20 minutes, "Why are we here" - the only 'good news' in this is that she pulled a groin muscles so that's her limited for the next two or three days! The bad news is that the officer and I reckoned that she went down the lane, straight on at a junction and then a path up and through the woods - woods where a Newquay man, with the big A was found dead a month after he went missing, two years or so ago. Despite the searches, choppers and heat detectors, they couldn't find him. It took a walker with a dog and he was only 7 yards off the path in the undergrowth......
Anything else today perhaps? I hope not.
Has your day been good? I hope so.

Big A = Alzheimers, AYG - actually she has mixed, a combination of the A and Vascular Dementia, evidence there on a CT scan of a mini-stroke some 5 years ago - to which she responded by walking out of A&E to walk the 5 miles back to the house 'because my dog needed me' - a friend found her walking the said lane in the lead in to the thread, my sister oblivious to what was going on as she was out on the water for the previous Tall Ships start (now in Greenwich this year). I was living abroad then.
