From Ann
Hi everyone, thanks for all the posts concerning the birthday wishes threads. It seems most want me to continue so I probably will.
Just read all the many replies - I hadn't had time to digest them in the past few days as I've been so busy and only just flitted in and out of AB.
Don't worry Prudie, I wasn't upset by your original post, it was only a few later comments from others calling me various names which I was slightly troubled with, which is why I decided not to do the threads any more if people thought that of me. The birthday threads were all started originally with the best of intentions, just hopefully bringing a little happiness especially to those living alone or with no family to wish them Happy Birthday and there are those, including me, who love birthday celebrations!.
Reading through the numerous replies I am slightly amused and embarrassed that it has caused such a big hoo-ha, so can it all stop now please? I did not do a "flounce" I know people were checking up to see if and when I had looked in AB but I was extra busy organising two huge events at church which involved doing lots of baking and a big display of historical documents, so didn't stay around long on AB.
I will continue with the birthday posts as the majority are in favour but I'm a little confused now who wants to opt out ..... I have a long list compiled from a thread I started a couple of years ago asking who wanted me to put their birthdays in my book, or those who gave the game away themselves by telling us of their forthcoming birthday. So I'm genuinely sorry if I've offended anyone, but you really should have told me when I posted your greetings last year.
Please either tell me your birthdays again or tell me to remove your name. Ta muchly, glad it's all sorted as we are all one big happy AB family who despite everything, support each other in our hour of need, cheer each other up or give advice where needed. Let's continue to do that x
