Rotting Tree

How can I get rid of a partly rotten tree stump (apart from using dynamite,which might be frowned upon by neighbours.!)......I believe there are chemicals which can do the job.?

Wait until later in the year - you may have little families of insects living in it at the moment.....

You could burn it but the neighbours probably wouldn't like the either.

I know you said its partly rotten but is the rest of the tree stump dead or alive ?.

As Jodyboy says hiring a stump grinder is probably the best method, if thats an option.........a lot quicker too.
