Can Anyone Identify This Wild Flower?

Prolific in South Wales up to a metre high.
Only colour variation some were nearer white.
The seed pods hung above the flowers in the shape of drop pearl ear rings which if you pressed the pod seeds shot out.

I concur, definitely Himalayan Balsam AKA : Policeman's Helmet, Jewel weed, Touch Me Not and probably a few more that I might get banned for ;-)

Its well known for choking up waterways and can be a garden weed too.
Your description of it was pretty good.
