It's a very thin line, IMO - the people who go to Switzerland want help to die, here is Lynda (as sqad says) making a pragmatic decison about how much more she can cope with. I do think it's courageous to plan to face your own end like that. I don't know what I'd do, in her situation - I guess it's one of those life situations that you can't predict until you find yourself actually in it.
I saw Lynda Bellingham in Calendar Girls (she was playing the supportive friend and WI member Chris) She had us in the palm of her hands and was the strongest, funniest and most inspirational actress I have seen in many years.
She was due to return to our theatre again more recently but she cancelled her tour after her diagnosis. I will always remember and admire her leading that wonderful company of actors and having seen her, I can understand her having the strength of character now to make this enormous decision. Huge admiration, brave, beautiful lady.
