Further to my recent post concerning Mr. DiCaprio being appointed as a United Nations representative on climate change (http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/News/Question1366982.html), I can report on his pronouncements at the climate change summit in New York.

Speaking at the event in relation to climate change, Mr. DiCaprio said that it was time to stop researching and time to start acting.

His speech prompted Richard Lindzen (physicist and climate change sceptic) to observe that it seemed a reasonable suggestion for an actor to make.

LOL. Using a popular figurehead to promote a scientific idea sounds good but often backfires.
Unless he has a doctorate in something or other or has spent several years studying climate change he surely cannot be expected to be taken seriously!
Unfortunately the masses only relate to actors and z list celebs.

Someone who has worked hard in a scientific field and achieved a great deal will just in one ear and straight out the other (usually because there is nothing to stop it in the middle) of the masses.
