Espidrilles how do you define them!!??

im not sure this is the correct section but i just got myself a new pair of sndals which in the store were described as gladiator sandals but my friend said they were espidrilles but in neighbours tonight they were defined as being high heeled wedges. how would you define espidrille shoes!! its just bugging me now thank you very much in advance!!

they are sandals that have long ribbon/leather ties that wrap around the ankle and have to be tied rather than buckled or buttoned. they can be wedges but are traditionally flat.

Espadrilles are traditionally flat shoes ( no heel ), the sole is made of made of jute , and the upper is coton canvas. However, with the changes in fashion, they have evolved and you can find espadrilles with heels ( wedges ). Hope this helps !
