I had 3 teeth filled last week at the dentist as the fillings had dropped out the previous week, got home and 2 hours later a further back tooth had a large piece of tooth break off (while eating soft icecream, would you believe?!) Now tonight I have lost another old large silver filling - I'm falling to bits! Why do teeth break off and fall out suddenly when we are older? Am I lacking in Calcium or something?
If you go back to the same dentist, he should carry out the further work free of charge as these problems have occurred within 2 months of the last treatment.
Teeth get old like everything. I have only had problems with back teeth breaking and usually the bottom ones. you will often find that if one cusp has come off a second may break at a later stage and it cant be counted as the same procedure as the first repair.
