At 11 I choose Latin over extra Maths and Physics.
I only started enjoying Latin when I was 18, though.
At 16 I gave up English, Biology, and Chemistry, and picked Maths and German as Main Subjects and History and Arts as third and fourth examination subject.
Also took computing and literature in addition for a year each.
All in all, I think it was a good choice.
For my A2s, I took French, German, Psychology, and Sociology.
The two languages were really different, so didn't get confusing, and psychology and sociology sometimes shared the same theories.
Now I'm studying German and Linguistics at University, and am currently living in Nordhausen (Germany) as part of my year abroad, scary!
For GCSE I had to take English, maths, science and RE.
My chosen subjects were art, drama, Spanish and history - I loved art & drama and did best in those even though the school looked down on me picking 2 'arty' subjects.
A'Levels, English Lit, sociology and history - to be honest I wish that I'd picked art, I really regret not keeping it up.
