I remember being on a cruise and we 'parked up' next to a German cruise ship in Tortola. Our sun deck was higher than theirs and when we looked across they were all sunbathing in the nude.
I used to go to nudist beaches in France and the feeling of freedom was great. I wouldn't however fancy playing tennis in the nude, the idea of 'bits' going all over the place is too much...

Your post underlines my point that other cultures have different attitudes to a variety of aspects of behaviour - and mainland Europeans are certainly more free with their nudity than the British.
But the Brits, for good or bad, do not appreciate blokes flashing the last turkey in Tesco about, so that's not likely to change any time soon.

I would like to go naked in public because I enjoy being nude, am more comfortable being nude and feel a real sense of peace and contentment when nude so the opportunity to live all aspects of my life nude if I so wished would be most welcome. (Temperatures permitting of course...)
I actively stay away from beaches where I can't be nude because I hate the restriction of those silly trunks. Similarly I won't swim unless I can do it nude.
I wouldn't advocate compulsory nudity of course, any more than I would support demonization of legitimate naturism.
I think it is hypocritical of a society that can support, tolerate and even promote events like the World Naked Bike Rides, that are held all over the country, but feels threatened by one man rambling in the buff.
