How Long Dos It Take Clarityn Non Drowsy

My Dr thinks I have some kind of allergy which is causing irritation and redness of my eyes. How long does it take for the medicine to start working? I have to take one 10mg pill s day.

All the studies that i can find are based on allergic rhinitis, running nose, blocked nose and sneezing and in that case Clarityn should work in about one hour, to one and a half hours maximum.
I don't see why your eye symptoms should be any different.

I must say that I would have prescribed anti histamine eye drops rather than tablets, but that would be personal choice.

I thought they would of given me that as well but hey ho. I've had this issue for over a month. I've been to the opticians who said my eyes are absently fine and cant see anything wrong so the doctor thinks it's an allergy of some kind. It's strange sometimes both eyes are affected and sometimes it's just one. They seem to like to swap around.
