Can't Enter Information On Downloaded Program
6 Answers
I have just downloaded a free Family Tree program to my desktop computer. This seems to have been successful and when I click the shortcut button the program opens out onto the computer ready for me to enter all my information regarding my ancestors. The trouble is I can't enter anything,it simply won't accept data.
I am new to computers and can't figure out what I have done wrong. Can anyone help please?

As a first thought though, if it's got 'File', 'Edit', etc across the top, try looking to see if there's a File>New option.

Well I'm still fumbling in the dark but a look at a screenshot shows 'Edit Database' buttons at the bottom right:

Have you tried clicking on them?

I came across a Windows document entitled "How to solve Windows errors" and it said that an error was introduced with an official Microsoft Security Update that was preventing me adding data to my Scion Family Tree program and it had to be "unblocked". This was simple enough and I'm glad to say that the program is now working correctly. A very strange solution, but I'm glad it wasn't my fault anyway. Thanks for any help given.
