Unable To Change Channels

all of a sudden I'm unable to change channels - nothing is responding on any remote button. at the moment I've switch off and unplugged the sky box -will wait about 10 minutes then see what happens - w have tried with two different remotes btw - batteries should be okay on both and I haven't had any warnings of low battery anyway. any suggestions please.
am very untechnical!!

Have you you pressed the TV button on the Sky remote?

Don't know if this might help, go on to the "Source Button " on your hand set, scroll down to HDMI / DV1 then try.

Jomlett thank you for the reply - switching it off for 10 minutes together with a thorough telling off by me seems to have done the trick - maybe I sat on the remote or something but all is well now - again, thank you for the reply.

I have the same thing with my Sony Bravia remote, batteries must be fine as everything works except the sound, I just can't turn it up or down or mute it.
