Night Sweats!

And another thing, being female and 42 I know its going to hit me eventually BUT really, are my night sweats necessary at such an early age or does anyone think it could be related to my stopping smoking for 3 months and putting on more weight! I am 4ft 11in and now weigh 8st 10 and I have never been this heavy other than when I was pregnant. My average usual weight in between 7st 10 and 8st.

The only time I have had night sweats is when I either em having a sex dream or a really scary dream (action packed)

Poglet, My neighbour started getting night sweats when she was 40,turned out she had an underactive thyroid.Have you had blood tests for this?

Fina, have had blood tests for that and liver! gawd knows why liver! and Dot, I don't drink so can't use that as an excuse, I think its just too many biscuits.... and chocolate, which before I stopped smoking, i never ate! Thanks everyone but still not sure if its menopausal, it definitely gets hotter and sweatier nearer my period...
