You can use Windows media player for this by pressing the rip button on there it will be transferred onto your computer. You may have to adjust your options in the rip section as they may convert to wma.
In the top right hand corner is an arrow pointin downwards go tools and then options and open up the section of "rip music" and then go thru the drop down section of converting and make it mp3 then apply then ok now ya sorted!!
druiaghtagh: iTunes is a program that plays and organises your music. It also happens to be the one that's used with iPods too, to sync the music with the iPod. But you don't have to have an iPod to use it. Also, there is a music store within iTunes, called the iTunes Music Store. Don't buy stuff from there though.
I recommended iTunes because personally I think it's miles more advanced than Windows Media Player. And it doesn't cost anything either.
