I think he was a good actor. I loved him in Blackadder and he was great in Firefox. R.I.P. to a fellow Lancastrian.
I remember him in as Sophie in "The Jewel in the Crown" Now why can't we make TV programs as good as that these days ?

Wonderful dramatisation of some even more wonderful books. RIP Paul Scott.
Another good actor lost.
Ken
when Clockwork Orange was finally televised - I was surprised to see him as a droog in it - he is the one who gets drenched in the pool

also Bradley Headstone in Our Mutual Fren'
same one as the one where Lizzie hexham is played by that girl
I am sorry to hear this, he was a good actor. RIP Warren.
What sad news
I first saw him at the cinema in A Clockwork Orange very weird film at the time. RIP Warren Clarke.
One of my favourite actors really sad about this new, Andy Dalziel was portrayed brilliantly, The Reginald Hill books are great too. We've lost one of the best character actors we had. RIP Warren
Loved watching his dour face, he'll be sadly missed. Reginald Hill who wrote the D and P books also died in the last year or so. What was he in Blackadder?
Sad news, far too young
Chaptazbru, yes, I remember it, it was called Down to Earth.
Zebo, he played Cromwell in Blackadder - The Cavalier years ( comic relief one off special) and then Hardwood father of Amy hardwood in the Amy and Amiability episode in Series 3
I liked him as an actor, played his parts well

His agent said "he died peacefully in his sleep after a short illness"

R.I.P
