I'm A Celebrity

The contestants have been announced. I'm struggling coming to terms with what constitutes a "celebrity" these days, although I have heard of seven of the ten. I don't have a clue who Nadia Forde or Kendra Wilkinson are. I know of TOWIE, so I am aware of Gemma Collins, by association. So, that's seven and a half out of ten. Is there anyone out there, who had heard of them all when the line-up was first announced?

Nope, you've by far outdone me - I've heard of 3 of them! Craig Charles, Michael Burke and Melanie Sykes. I'm still looking forward to it, though

A celeb is whoever someone somewhere calls a celeb.

I think they must have to have been in the public eye at some point, surely, no matter how minor ?

'I'm a celeb' was so named because you wouldn't know unless they told you.

I don't know if I'm right or not, but I always think that someone must be hard-up when they sign up for a show like this. The indignity and discomfort seem too much of a price to pay for trying to revitalise a flagging 'career'.

(I use the word 'career' very loosely!)

Some new names have been named and a lot of those mentioned as going in haven't been mentioned. Maybe they opted out? Craig Charles is a surprise. OP is right that not many of them are known names. I haven't a clue who most of them are.

I was so disappointed when I saw the line up, I only know 4. None of them are anyone I am really interested in but I am sure once it starts I will enjoy it as usual.

10 Famous Faces was the headline in some of the papers for I'm A Celebrity, I watch a lot of telly but could only recognize five, Melanie Sykes Michael Burk,Vicky Michelle, Craig Charles, Carl Fogarty but I will be watching no doubt will know something about them all before it's finished!

See all this nonsense about picking one team or the other to go in the slammer.I have got a suggestion, let's make it Ant and Dec for the slammer and to keep them company I'd have Simon Cowell and Loui Walsh.After shutting the door I'd throw away the key.
