I bought new spectacles a few months ago from a reputable optician because I was having trouble seeing printing on the television screen. I retained my old set of spectacles as I wear spectacles all the time. my old set of spectacles I use for reading and close up work i.e. printing this letter and the new pair for use of distances over six feet. when I use my old spectacles I can walk with no problem. when I use my new spectacles I loose my balance when I walk. is it possible for incorrect spectacles to affect your balance?
If you keep switching between different prescription strengths it will be hard to get used to the new ones. Stop using the old ones and you will quickly get used to the new strength.

thank you all for the answers to the above question. obviously there is something wrong with the lenses of the new specs. by coincidence I received a letter from the optician this morning (11/9/13) asking me to attend for an eye test. I will make an appointment and hopefully this problem can be solved.
