Do You Leave Your Heating On Overnight When You're Sleeping?

Hiya, just a quick little survey, just wondering how many of you leave your normal central heating on while you sleep

No.
It goes off about 11:30 (unless I'm up late and give it a boost for an hour) then comes on again at 7:30.
Unless it is very very cold, but I cannot remember when that last was.

We had a new boiler early this year and have fully insulated. It is all very efficient now and heating only comes on when the temperature drops to a certain point. It will usually go off about nine in the evening but because of insulation it remains warm for hours after, so, no, it isn't on overnight.

I only heat the lounge and it's a storage heater so not cost effective to turn on and off - just regulate as winter progresses.

With the exceptionof student halls of residence, I've never lived anywhere with central heating. My only heater in the house is a single oil-filled radiator that's normally turned off at night but I might occasionally leave it on a low setting if it's a really cold night.

Only if there's ice up to the rooftops ! Don't want burst pipes in the winter. Having said that, it's nearly December and I haven't yet had my heating on for this winter. It's been very mild, so far anyway. No doubt that will all change soon. Winter draws on as the saying goes...

On timer, not on, on. No one keeps switching it on & off in the colder months surely.

No, my heater is along side me Tandh.

No it goes off at 10pm and on again at 6am. I always take a HWB to bed and sometimes have an electric blanket on too.

My heating is usually off at night, but I would leave it on at night if it is really cold.

No. I'd happily leave the windows open as well.

No never have. I do have a woodburner though that keeps the chill off during the night.

only if it gets really cold, but between that and no heat, I have got a thermostatic oil filled radiator on the bedroom that I can use to keep the chill off.

Our heating is quite complex but we have never had the heating running through the night, nor throughout the day for that matter.

We sleep under a 4.5 tog duvet and have the window open in the bedroom too.
