Is there a cut off time for laying turf?I'm now claiming my garden back from the dogs,and want to turf and slab the garden before summer and it seems so long since i had use of the garden,i don't know the best to do,or where to start thanx for any answers!!

Any time is the right time, as long as its not in the frozen depths of winter ( I doubt if it would be on sale then anyway)

If you are in an area with a hose pipe ban then this could be a big problem, as it will need lots of water to get the turf established. Good Luck.

The cooler the weather the better for laying sod... however, you can do it almost anytime of the year (other than dead of winter in U.S.). The warmer the weather, the more watering it requires. If you're going to lay paver block decking, it's much easier to lay that out and complete it before doing the sod. Depending on the quality of your soil, you'll do better with the sod if your are able to scarify the surface on which its going to be laid. If possible, run over it with what we'd call a roto-tiller to a depth of at least a few inches. Add in some mulch and alittle fertilizer. The fertilizer should be fairly high nitrogen content (the first number in the mixture) and water at least one inch per week... more's better... and good luck!
