i have tried to burn music from my pc via windows media player onto a blank cd, but when it comes to playing the cd in a cd player it does not play.

the cd player either says no disc or error.

but when i play the cd on my pc it will play the tracks.

im i missing something for example converting the file type?

i must be doing something wrong, i thought it was just a simple matter of clicking burn with a blank cd in the dvdrw.

please help

It could be as simple as the CD player your using won't exept CD-R's or you could be burning the discs as a CD-Rom (iso) instead of an Audio Disc. Also check to see if copy protection is turned on (Tools/Options/Rip Music) it might have no effect but its worth turning off.

Hi glitglit,

I had the same problem . Your answer is If you want to be be able to play your music on something other than your computer . For Example : A regular C D Player , In You automobile .

You First must Convert them into Wav format . If you don't the only place they will play will be on your computer . And when trying to your Cd's other places they will appear blank . A Good Program to use is called E Z Cd Creator . That's the one I use now because it does everything you need to do and it's very simple .

I hope this has helped you if I can be of more help you can contact me at [email protected] . Good Luck .
