SIQ I agree with almost all that you are saying with one exception.
The "Canny Scots" who traditionally vote Labour are more than likely to vote SNP for the reasons that ;
A The Labour party aligned themselves with the despised Tories at the run up to the Independence vote.
B The Westminster lot are starting to renegade on the powers being devolved to the Scottish Parliament which were promised. There is a feeling of distrust among very many here branding Labour MPs as no better than the Tories.

Bouncer33,
Yup her udders or others were empty of ideas or the milk of human kindness.
She was a puppet on a string of dopes - and - she signed the Maastricht treaty without knowing it tied us further into the EU (good) but then moaned about the consequences of her own action.
I've never seen her actual udders as I don't watch horror films.
Anyway the grocer's daughter married a multi-millionaire so she was O.K. and could gamble with the economy (our money). She wanted to convert the UK into a "super-service" country (centred on the stock-market, banks and tourism) thus destroying our industry and the trades unions (the wealth-making workers voice).
She created our current "everyone-for-themselves" sub-culture, the mess that followed and still dogs us now.
I do not envy the rich who make it thro' their own efforts but this society is ruined. In fact the moo-cow said "there is no such thing as society".
I pity the young triers who used to make us Great but it's out of their hands now. At least they should try to re-build our once-great country by starting with Labour. If they don't, I hope they don't come to me on my modest income with their begging bowl. I can only afford so much to give to the food-banks at present.
I wonder how much Osbourne and Cameron give to the starving families via the food banks.

Sir Oracle,
Fair comment, thank you. I hope you are wrong but see your point.
I refer to the "canny Scots" because their education system is one of the best in the world and is classless. Surely they will see that a vote for the SNP will put their long-time enemies, the Tories, back in power so that they can continue to milk Scotland dry as they did by wasting their oil.

I am fair minded enough to give best answer when it merits it but I'm not going to give it for ideological clap trap or even the later descent into trolling. You started well SIQ but you soon got dragged down by SirO's very heavy chip on his shoulder. One good thing though some of you have secured TGL as my avatar for some time to come, well done.

so just to sum up, labour are going to win by persuading the scotts to vote for them, rather than the SNP on the basis that they'll otherwise help the Tories! PMSL, goo luck with that, no one has ever managed to get th sweaties to see "sense" before! You and your buddies thinkk hat revelation is worth a BA! dream on .
Dear Tora Tora Tora,
Thanks for your replies. Nope, don't expect or want your BA (no insult intended - just facing reality).
Only time will tell what the Scots decide but look back on National Elections history. What's in it for the Scots to vote SNP I wonder.
If this topic is at all representative of public opinion (which it is not in terms a real poll) then you've got problems with BA.
I am contented to agree to disagree with you, TTT, on this topic and thank you for your well-mannered comments.
Kind Regards,
SIQ.

Dear SirOracle,
Of course I understand your complaints and I could complain to TTT, notably about the a number of matronising phrases like my and others "clap-trap" and me being "dragged down" by you. That's rude to us both. Like you, I speak for myself and sympathise with your complaints.
However I think you, me and others are talking to a brick-wall.
I don't see the AB as a place for personal arguments or nit-picking through language and think we are all (TTT and others) really talked-out.
My well-mannered message to TTT, was really meant to close my input without holding grudges. Political debate is always dynamite and can cause many slips into personal insult.
Anyway SirOracle, apart from the Scot's actions in 2015 we seem to be on a similar wavelength.
Let's just see if TTT can possibly chose a BA which should be a great laugh.

Wow, SirOracle, me calm and polite! No way in certain discussions or situations but thanks.
"Certain people's" insults or stupidity are best treated like water off a duck's back. The phrase "idiological clap trap" from a Tory certainly takes the biscuit.
I presume you are a Scot but no need to answer that.
At least we understand grammar and spelling, see Tory text above :).
Sentences begin with a capital letter and there are no such words in my dictionaries like "scott","goo", "th" or "thinkk".
With luck the few Tory voters will be as bad at reading the voting paper as Osborne is at reading the national economical accounts:)

Dear Tora Tora Tora,
Let's end this ping-pong ball "debate" ASAP - you have the last word after this unless you wish to be extremely provocative.
You admire The Grocer's Daughter who became a Technical Technician in a Confectionary Company before marrying a multimillionare and became Prime Minister after the Ted Heath's defeat by the miners. It has now been disclosed that Arthur Scargill's (not a favourite of mine ) claims about the planned closure of our deep-mined coal pits were right and the Tories lied about it at the time although we had 100 years of coal energy there. Yup, the Greens don't like coal-burning, but it doesn't matter in this tiny island compared with the USA, China or India, who, if mankind is destroying the planet, continue to burn coal. Sense says that when we abandoned coal we should have followed the French example of now perfectly safe Nuclear Power Stations. But too late thanks to govt., pandering to public ignorance so now fracking "fracking"!
It's just like the Hillsborough cover up where your idol preferred the rubbishy Sun "Newspaper" to the lies of the police version.
O.K. - that's the Party you support for some reason but it's not you who has to beg at the Food Banks, I assume.
When you vote Tory, I wish you and any younger members of your family all the best for the future which looks bleak.
SIQ.
ps: I think you owe SirOracle an apology.

SIQ, those points are all debated ad nauseum on here so I won't repeat the usual responses. I award the BA in recognition of your collective behaviour on this thread, although we don't agree I do applaud the way you have conducted yourself here. If I have offended SirO then I do indeed apologise, my use of the rhymming slang vernacular is not intended as an insult any more that I take "limey" as one.
Ho, ho, ho:) Tora Tora Tora, I thought your BA would be a laugh and you have certainly provided it. Whatever politics any of us believe in, we all have a sense of humour and you have certainly shown you have a great one here. Ty for your compliments which are undeserved but graciously accepted. I'm sure SirOracle feels satisfied now.
We certainly agree on one thing - we have all talked this to exhaustion and unlike some sites do not want to keep on repeating ourselves.
All's well that ends well - Happy Christmas.
