Homemade Gerkins

I got some small cucumbers and put them in vinegar but they tasted horrible. How do I get mine exactly like the ones from Mcdonalds?

Google 'dill pickles' (which finds loads of recipes), because that's what McDonald's 'gherkins' actually are.

They have to go through a fermentation process, which takes anywhere from 10 days to maybe 30 days... quite involved but we make our own so can vary the recipe as to taste...
