22:56 on Sun 29/Aug/10 Lately, my younger brother (who just turned sixteen last week) got really interested in illuminati and started doing a lot of research on them.I am his elder sister and i have no idea what the heck is illuminati about. My family has never been interested in this kind of stuff either.My parents don't know what my brother is doing and even if they did it would not have made much of a difference as they don't know much about illuminati.i am really worried about him and i always try to linger around when he is watching any video of that sort.I think illuminati does exist but they are so complicated i would not want my brother to bother about them.Moreover, he is also interested in the ' hidden messages' videos.I always try to make him watch these videos with me and all that i have seen made me come to the conclusion that most of the things are just made up ( excluding the illuminati) and are not fit for him to watch.
All i am trying to say is that my brother is quite young and has a very fragile mind , he is not at all mature. I just dont know how to stop him.
I am very worried for him because if he gets his head messed up now this thing might stay with him for all his life. I just dont know what to do and need some serious advice.

I wouldn't take it seriously, such interests come and go. I am a bit confused by the fact that you say, you don't know what the illuminati are about and then that you believe that they exist? and that you don't want you brother to worry about "complicated" things. can I gently suggest that you get this back into proportion? Your bro is a sixteen YO doing what 16 YO's do and your parents are letting him be 16...maybe you could do that too?

I suspect Dan Brown is behind this...a lot of the things he puts in his books are real but exaggerated.. and would threrfore capture the imagination of a 16 year old . who knows this could be the start of a serious interest in religion and history that could encourage him to study what are essentially fascinating subjects...

The illuminati stuff written about by Dan Brown etc is fun and froth and there's nothing wrong with enjoying it as a game. However, you mention your bro is 'fragile' mentally and if this is a suggeston that he has had mental health issues, you need to keep an eye on him. Obsessive behaviour and 'finding hidden messages' can accompany a bipolar episode. If he has been ill before, is there a key worker you have contact with and who you could talk through your concern and get some advice?

@ woofgang i only got to know about illuminati is through my brother(thats why i said i don't know anything about them) and listening to him got the idea that this is some group who support the anti-christ and want to take control of the world etc but i dont if all that is true.I personally believe they are there but there is still a chance they are not there.
the trouble with my brother is he just beleives whatever he sees without doing any research about it and his mind at the moment is not apt enough to decide what's right and wrong.Thogh he is a sixteen his not as mature as a sixteen year old would be.This is something i saw him watching the other day and he just saw it and starting beleiving in it.

and yeah rowan, mosaic he did get started with Dan Brown.The thing is we are muslims and i don't think it's right for him to get into culture or religion at the moment and he is doing all his research on the internet and you cant believe everything you see on the net these days.I would not mind it if he gets a little mature and than go do all the research on illuminati and its history right now i am just afraid he might get confused and do some thing wrong.
@ mosaic don't worry my brother is in perfect mental condition he is juast not as mature as you would expect a sixteen year old to be.

Unfortunately most of its true about the Illuminati. They do exist and i am pretty sure that they are running AB as well as anything else. This doesn't mean that we should delve into these things deeper as we all just need to get on with our lives.

Encourage your bro to to take up activities or hobbies. He is only 16 years old. He will soon be diverted to other things....

@ mosaic he is more religious than i am so i don't think it would be fair enough to ask him to be more religious.This time around spirituality seems dead mosaic, people are just praying more because it's Ramadan nothing about feeling God.(hope you understood)

@ MrMister we've always heard illuminati is there but is there any substantial proof that they are there? Or people just think they are there because they believe in the anti-christ?( personally i think illuminati's there because Islam foretells of an anti-christ is it the same for other people too(like other christians etc))??
