The sad, but inescapable fact that diet programmes and magazines never tell you, is that weight loss involves pain. Not physical pain as such, but the pain of discipline and denial. The best way to counteract this pain is with reward. Your reward can take any form, depending what you like. Once you've embarked on a weight loss prgramme (and stuck to it!) and your weight goes down, find a reward system and use that. Like clothes? Each time you loose a set amount, buy something new. Likewise, music, books, cinema visits etc. Or, if you prefer, set your goal weight, and an mount to save each time you reach a milestone, then blow the lot on something you've always wanted - holiday, car, what ever. The concept of getting something you really want, apart from a slimmer healthier body, will help to keep you going when it gets tough - and it does! Good luck.
