Fastest growing creeper

We need some cover for walls and fences in our garden and wondered what are the fastest growing creepers, and are they evergreen

Without any shadow of a doubt I'd say the fastest growing creeper is russian vine (Fallopia baldschuanica) or to give it its other common name which is very apt is Mile-a-minute vine.


A word of caution- be careful what you wish for, its extreamly fast and can easily get out of hand if your not prepaired to keep it in check. It has masses of creamy white flowers in the summer and will grow well on almost any site or soil. It can be cut back hard in spring Good Luck.

The one Thunderbird mentions is really fast, if you have a bit of patience I would go for a virginia creeper,great colour in autumn or a climbing rose like albertine
