I realise that this question may have been asked before but just how far back can you cut roses? I`ve been told it`s almost impossible to kill them but don`t want to go too far. Thanks.

In March. Floribunda & HT Roses ca be cut back to three leaf buds above ground. Climbers & Ramblers to three leaf buds from any main stem you wish to keep. Cut out any stems of all varieties you don't want.
Pruning before Winter may mean you get die back which will affect pruned branches and you will have to shorten them even further.
