Depends what you can do. I do book-keeping from home. Some of it is really simple. Basically data entry onto spreadsheets. I also taught myself to do self assessment tax returns. Well actually the Inland Rev taught me, free of charge. I charge 200 pounds for a return. It's only once a year but if you get enough clients it adds up. Self Assessments can be submitted from sep to jan so you can get six months work out of it. I also charge 10 ph to do peoples books. Sometimes all it entails is listing receipts in date order. Again, inland rev will show you how to do it.
Not really. If you phone your local tax office and ask them if there are any courses you can go on for self assessment tax returns etc. they will send you a list of courses they run. You just book on them free of charge. They even came out to my house because I couldn't get a baby sitter. If you think you will like the work you can also do a Sage course. It costs about 30 per month. you do it in your own time and when you have completed it they guarantee that they will find you work. I'll find out more details because my sister is doing it at the mo and i'll post it on here.
Sell board shorts on ebay at the moment! nightmare so expensive. Or get a feel for whats the next big thing, buy loads, sell it on ebay. Good Luck. Or become a registered child minder. Computer/data entry, or phone answerer/message taker for small companies e.g selling blinds, conservatories etc. i'll keep thinking
Many people seem to use Ebay to make a living from peddling junk to each other.
Another way is to study Investment Trusts, there is money on those, but you need a good few 000s to get started.
200 for a Tax return -phew. Could be a bargain if someone has many capital gains( with index linking), foreign investments ,works in films and is non-domiciled!
