Hi ,has anyone ever used cocoa shell mulch to stop weeds coming through ? I would be grateful for any information ,please.

Personally, I wouldn't use it because I have a dog. The shells are apparently toxic to dogs.

Thank you for your reply .Chipchopper ,I don't have any pets so I may try it.Thanks once again.
They are very good, but you actually need a surprising amount. There is also a strange pleasure opening your door and smell chocolate. They are also good for keeping cats off, they hate the texture. It is quite funny watching them trying to walk across it lol
The BBC gardening website recommends it for flower beds but offers alternatives for other locations:
