Why are we spending so much money and effort on this? Surely we don't want them back?
And rather than spending money on looking for people like this wouldn't the money be better spent on a one way ticket to ISIS, once they have denounced British citizenship of course.
If the parents had adopted British culture and values then maybe they would still have their daughters? This is their [the parents] fault not the Police, not the Government and not Turkeys

These children are at risk.
Recollect that at Rotherham and Rochdale children at risk were ignored by the authorities who said things like: they want to do this
These ones were white by the way

It's no good singling out any one authority in these cases. The three girls are at risk but they are regarded as intelligent individuals and must know enough to make an informed judgement of such risks. The online information at their fingertips would provide them with a significant grounding for the type of lifestyle they could expect and it is hardly ever out of the news.
These decisions are not made blindly or on a whim.
Last year, did we not have two young females leave Austria (Serbs) for IS? One died, the other missing I believe.

'If that includes being a "comfort woman" to the nutters in Syria etc then that is their choice'.
TTT, you do an injustice to the very high standards of sexual behaviour taught in the Koran and exemplified in the life of the Prophet(pbuh).
There is no way Muslim these girls can serve as "comfort women" to the jihadis. The Koran specifically forbids the procurement of Muslim women for sex. These girls will be legally MARRIED (under the rules of Sharia) to one or more ISIS man.
The stories of rape we hear are to do only with non-Muslims (Yezhidis, Christians etc.). The Koran and the Sunnah both endorse the enslavement of Kafir women and their use as sex slaves and therefore it is not zina.

I wouldn't bet a bent halfpenny that these adolescent girls were well educated by their parents NOT to associate with Jewish boys but surprisingly not warned about a dalliance with ISIL.When our two lads were 15/16yrs their passports were locked away with ours in a secure place. I still maintain the parents are responsible not the authorities. I t was the parents who allowed their kids access to the means of leaving the UK not the Police.

I believe that the UK police responsibility for missing children lies inside the border of this country. These kids do not seem to be" missing". They have been tracked to Turkey by investigations within this country.I believe that is where UK involvement ends and the parents should "flip coins" as to who has to retrieve them. Now if they return alive then the UK police and security services should take a very robust interest in where their loyalties lie.

What has annoyed me most about the offers of advice from 'crediable' people on their behalf is.... That WE should have been culturally aware that anyone exiting the UK such as children ..should have stopped them in their tracks! Why the hell should us Brits 'be culturally aware' of other people, non indigenous methinks, and their motives whatever age... The problem lies with the parents and the idiots who think these people are easily led, or whatever. Not our problem to prevent it's the problem of the faith et and the people who don't give a jot for the ethos of this country IMO.

The French authorities made that request because Moussa Coulibaly had the same surname as the Paris Jewish Deli Killer who had bought a one way ticket to Syria, and thought that this might of been related to the killings. Their instincts were obviously correct but due to lack of evidence the suspect was released only to go on and commit an act of terrorism.
I do not believe the French will make that mistakeagain and Mr Coulibaly will not be heard of for many a year. I hope that UK authorities will learn from this mistake and any wannabee UK jihadists who decide the game ain't worth the candle and return to the UK are locked away also for many years but I will not hold my breath.
