Beards
37 Answers
Do you trust a man with a beard?
Have read a lot about the 'psychology' of men with beards.
Like all 'studies' there are different outcomes...
Some studies seem to suggest that men with beards are 'real' men....caveman types who dominate and look after their families.
On the other hand there are the 'clean shaven' types who come across as 'reliable' and honest types, due to the fact that they arnt 'hiding' behind a mass of hair.
Personally, I alternate between been clean shaven and having a bit of designer stubble. (dunno what that says about me...a bit schizo maybe)

Have grown my hair and been clean shaven, and been more or less celibate.
Admittatdly all when I was younger and could afford to play about a bit.
Am now 49 this yr and wondering where the years have gone ;-(

I had a beard on and off in my early 20's and was sporting one when I met my wife to be.
The eve before we married I shaved it off. The look on her face was a picture when I turned to face her when she joined me at the aisle on the big day.
She has often said since(40 years later) that a beard "enhanced my looks"
Was this a feminine, and supposedly tactful way , of saying "this ugly git ain't the person I knew before we married" I wonder?
It was particularly colourful in my summer motorcycling days. A real fly trap!! :-)

I look evil with a beard.
Years ago, I grew one - wife & daughter hated it, but through male pride, I kept it for months, despite the itchiness.
When I felt I'd made my point, and after a few glasses of falling over water, I shaved off one side of my face, and sat there at breakfast feeling rather clever' waitong for shock horror reaction.
Neither wife or daughter noticed. at all.
Another life lesson-----

I hate beards and would never trust a man (or a woman!) with one. I know that in biblical times, Jesus allegedly, had a beard but that was before Mr Remington and Mr Gillette came along. Someone with a beard always looks scruffy, dirty, or a terrorist, or hiding something. Never trust a hairy faced man.! Besides, males look sooooo much older with all that facial gunk. Come on lads, show your lovely faces and get rid of that fluff.
