Passion Flower question

I have a passion flower that was planted last year which did rather well and flowered briefly. This year the twigs have dried which i have removed and left the root in the ground.
Will the passion flower grow back again or is there any way i could revive it somehow ? The plant has a sentimental value and I would love to see it flowering again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks to me like you have done the right thing, if its been damaged by frost its recomemded to cut it back to more or less ground level, so hopefully you should see it sprouting soon!! Good Luck.
