It depends on what qualifications you have for example if you are a teacher you could probably get work in an English school nursing skills too would help BUT believe me I lived very happily in Spain for nearly 18 years and there is more bulls**t over ther thasn there is here. Are you prepared to fill all forms in in triplicate at least with a photocopy of your passport and Spanish i.d. barcode with every form you fill in and there will be plenty believe me.Don't get me wrong I LOVED my life in Spain but we were in a position to take early retirement and the number of people we met who talked just like you and lasted less than a year out there going home disillusioned and broke were more than I care to think about.Sometimes the dream is better than the reality believe me.Best of luck if you do decide to do it though.By the way do you speak Spanish? If not your task is several hundred times harder. When you are out there on holiday it's easy to forget it's a foreign country but try coping with town hall officialdom (which is unbelievably beaurocratic at times) when you don't understand what they are saying to you.

Nip down to Mojaca, Nerja, Benidorm, Altea, you'll get seaonal work (waitressing) and probably something more full time if you are qualified. Lots of English spoken round there, although the form filling is tedious, but it's easier now if your a seaonal worker.

Come over to the Canary Islands, theres no seasons so work is all year round. and there are more brits living here, and its still part of Europe so you dont need a visa to live/work here.

My average monthly bills (including food) 800 (550)
and thats a five star lifestyle.
