As a bachelor, I will refrain from joining in any debate about womens' sanitary arrangements !

Why is it that the term Bachelor tends to raise eyebrows when applied to a man of a certain age?
Whoever's in power, I have always thought that it's disgraceful that essential sanitary products for women are classified as "luxuries". They are absolute essentials, life for a woman would be unspeakable without them. I remember my mother having to wash sanitary cloths (and my auntie worked in a dry cleaners in the 1950s, people sent them to the laundry ...) It's not right.
I don't know baldric....why don't you tell us ? Without using innuendo.
