African Violet
I know these are a perennial but my mother never had any luck with keeping them alive. She has a blue and white striped African Violet and now that she has died, I would like to keep it. I have looked at the internet but I just wondered if anyone has any personal tips as to how to care for it.

mine thrive on a shady spot near the window and much planned neglect. I have got several grouped together in separate pots on a deep bed of gravel in a big bowl.
