Npi/pearl Pension/insurance Website...

..I have a NPI pension and I have been trying to log in using their 'Secure OnLine Access'. This I could not do so I eventually got through to the customer service desk and was informed the only way to access this service on line is via Internet Explorer 8!! no other browser will do, no other more up to date versions of IE or Chrome or any one else for that matter. Nowhere on the NPI website can I see this most important piece of information. By the way I use Chrome and IE9....this is surely wrong isn't it?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.That simply sounds like someone reading from a script (which says "Minimum browser required: Internet Explorer 8") who doesn't understand a thing about computers (or about their own company's website).
Have you disabled the pop-up blocker in IE9? (It's essential to get that website to work). These instructions are for Windows 7. (Other versions of Windows might be similar):
Go to Start > Control Panel
Click on Network & Internet, then on Internet Options
Select the Privacy tab
Remove the tick in the pop-up blocker section.
Click Apply and then OK
Hopefully IE9 should then be able to access the site.
