I think standstill would be very interesting: it might even prove a 'pet' theory, of mine, which is that all governments are delusional, in the belief that they really control the economy. If we effectively stop them from twiddling the control knobs, for five years, while the economy goes and does its own thing, whether by the magic of MT's beloved "market forces" or whatever it is which truly influences world finance.
The prospect of a --functional opposition--, in place of a functionless, highly expensive, noise-making machine, makes £60k (or whatever it is) per seat seem almost like good value.
So, don't just vote: make the b***ers earn their keep, afterwards.
