I've just noticed that you can't seem to buy these little square, fruit-flavoured, chewy sweets any more!! Anybody know why?

Well I spent ages at the weekend and could'nt find any!! But if you've got some perhaps they are still in existence but I would have thought they would be everywhere?
Try going to the older type of shops - although I have seen Black Jacks, Prawns, Flying Saucers, Sherbert Lemons, Sherbert Fountains etc. sold recently in the large jars at a modern Fish and Chip Restaurant. This particular place was in Weymouth but they are fairly widespread. The spelling was different, though - Tuitti Fruitti - Is this the same one?

Hi I posted an answer but Answerbank took it off as I put my email address on it so as I could maybe send you some. I defiantly bought some and enjoyed eating them very very much! I don't know how to help any more. sorry but they are definitely still on sale in brand new packets! make sure you look for a purple packet I know they used to be in yellow packets but the new packet is purple!! and they are still spelt like Tooty Frootys! It could just be regional thing as Skittles disappeared from my area for about 5 months but they came back after a while!
My boyfriend bought some Tooty Frootys in Co-op at the weekend but moaned that they 'weren't like they used to be' and was quite disappointed. But I have just been directed to a site called www.aquarterof.co.uk and they sell every kind of sweet from your childhood.
