It seems obvious that Scotland are doing something right, ie this super hospital, no University fees, free prescriptions and free elderly care, but what is it?

I don't know, but I would doubt that it did as the Barnet formula is a Westminster thing for working out money for public spending in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland
Of course. Silly me. A hospital in England paid for by English taxpayers whereas a Hospital in Scotland is paid for by the Barnett formula!!
I'm not sure but I think the English hospital is paid for by UK tax payers and the Barnett formula is paid for by UK tax payers as well, so the same tax payers are paying for both I think

I just hope the Welsh and the Northern Irish got a new hospital as well ,as they have helped to pay for England and Scotland's new ones
