No, in answer to your question.

Some animals, particularly dogs, do mount others with no intent on breeding, this is normally to express dominance.

Animals (with the exception of humans, dolphins and some apes) do not have sex for pleasure, simply to reproduce, so your tom cat wont bother the females.

I dunno, I have a tom cat who has been neutered and he attacks my neutered female almost nightly...at first i thought he was playing but under closer scrutiny he was trying to mount her which she (understandably) takes great offence at. I thought this was a bit weird myself as he has been 'done'. maybe he is just feeling randy in his old age?

Schlomo 78. The question was whether an un-neutered tom would try to mate with these cats, the answer is no.

You disagree yet your cat is neutered and therefore unable to mate.

I hope this clears it up
