My first time on here in weeks, and I find that answerbank has gone the way of some other sites. When I'm typing, the keypad slides down out of view suddenly and my finger hits an advert for Virgin Media or similar. It's REALLY frustrating. Is there a way to combat this? I'm using an iPad.
I have the same problem. Every time I hit submit I accidentally hit the advert directly below - it's so frustrating! I've taken to using a little dibber thing (think its called a stylus pen) that we got from Amazon.
I get that as well horseshoes, I type about 5 words then keyboard disappears and hit an advert then have to backspace to get back to the answer box, I think it's maybe the adverts that flash that cause this?
It's not happening today tho
Without adverts we would all be without Answerbank. However, the adverts can be a real nuisance and I am of the opinion that they need to be kept under control. However, there is the question of How ??? !!!
Having adverts right by the submit button is going to be an issue with touch sensitive screen input. My mobile often claims I've pressed something I haven't or not pressed something I have. Trying to "submit" and 'hitting' an ad will be a risk.
It's not a mobile app, it's a slightly different address to what some claim is a more mobile friendly version of the site. (That is up for debate.)
(My main gripe with my mobile is the "stupid" blue header band that is continually coming down from the top of the mobile screen to obscure my typing when it is not wanted, and never to be seen on the rare occasions it would actually be useful.)
The Independent newspaper is the worse when you are trying o email an article to av reindeer.
It doesn't allow you to see what you are typing, so it is very easy to make mi
