Every morning 'something' has pulled out all my pond plants and left them on the side or knocked over the pots into the bottom of the pond - whay would do thid foxes/cats/birds and why ?
also how can i stop it happening please /
I imagine it is birds trying to get to the insects and worms in the earth.
The pots that got knocked into the pond would be accidental.
Try bunching them together or put heavier stones in the base of the pots.
by pulled out pond plants, do you mean stuff actually growing on the pond and have you lost any fish? The only time I have had anything similar, it was a heron feasting on my goldfish, even though my pond is very small and tucked away on a corner of the garden. Is your pond netted?
I mean the floating oxygenating type plants - the plants in the pots were also pulled from the pots.
I don't have any fish
Don't really want to net it as the little birds like to drink/bath in edges.
It would be interesting to see what a trail cam would reveal.
I don't know what time you rise in the mornings, but if you discover this early, then perhaps the culprit is nocturnal.
Foxes having fun n' games is my guess.
