Because they want to!
To annoy people like you who apparently care?
the paint was on sale in B&Q?
to create a feel of ballamory in their street?

I'm a train driver on the underground, used to be on the District line, for those that know it, going over Putney Bridge, towards Wimbledon, to the left, there's a house that is completely pink, whoever lives there, has no curtains, and during the summer months, all you could see was Cannabis plants growing inside.

Wonder if pink is a code?.

Well, ours has been painted pink for over 400 years, so that seemed a good enough reason to carry on! It looks really quaint and attractive.
Why not?
To follow on from in a pickles post, Its not at all uncommon to see whole villages in suffolk in various shades of pink, as well as pigs blood mixed with white-wash, I was told the fruits of the blackthorn ( sloe's) was also used to similar effect. But why ? tradition I'd say.
thunderbird - seems a bit of a waste using sloes to colour your house. Can think of better things to do with them.
