Saturday. Lots of cloud making it seem like it's still night. Not too warm either. Tiggy didn't stay out long, had his supper and looked at me as if to say 'Ta squire. I'm off back to bed. Night night' And off he went. He had his favourite smoked pancetta, so he was happy.

As I type the cloud is drifting away, but it's going the wrong way, south, on a Northerly wind. The prevailing wind here south westerly, so it's not looking good. Oh well.

Have a happy day everyone.

Ummmm my feet and ankles swell up something rotten in hot climates especially India, the only thing that stops it happening is if I wear my Ugg boots as they are sheepskin lined and as well as keeping u warm in winter they keep u cool in summer, I have to wear trousers to disguise the fact but it works for me every time.
Morning Minty isn't there spooky church [spiritualist] near you ?

'Morning everybody
Good morning from here, a misty one out there, quite close. Hopefully the sun will break through as it didn't yesterday......quite a sea mist by the end of the afternoon over at Holywell Bay (just south of Newquay).
Morning all !

Beautiful morning here in Swansea...very mild and no wind. Forecast looks wonderful...should be 17-18 degrees later on !

Had a lovely morning working in the Tredegar area yesterday. These Valleys communities are so friendly. One OAP wanted to make me soup and sandwich, as she said I looked "peaky"

Peaky ! I am well over 18 stone, and have never been described as "peaky"

I am not even sure of the spelling peeky, or peaky ?

Anyway, what a nice old lady !

Then took in a visit to see an old friend who is in hospital in Brecon, so a wonderful drive over the mountains...what stunning landscape we do have here in South Wales, and at this time of year, it looks its best. Masses of bluebells everywhere and still loads of little lambs !

A good to be alive day, thats for sure.
Dee....the tablets have worked, they are almost back to normal. It's never happened to me before. I think on this holiday we've been doing a lot of sitting down traveling from a to b on buses.

They weren't painful, just uncomfortable.
Boats....I've left him sleeping. I just nipped to the shop to get some fruit and nuts, wine (for later) and fags. You can get a bottle of wine for 1.50 Euro. Happy days :-)
We could arrange an AB shipment at that price - presume it is Italian?
Maltese. Even in the hotel it's only 70p a glass.
Trust you have been munching back the ġbejniet, zalzett with plenty of galletti (Maltese crackers) and then those hot pastizzi that are so good with a glass of wine or coffee.
I haven't eaten any Maltese food. Beside having some crispy duck from the Chinese and trying the cooked breakfast on day one (which I didn't eat) I've only eaten fish/shellfish. I haven't even eaten any spuds :-) just fish and salad.
The pastizzi are those pastries stuffed with ricotta and rather good - and with a glass of red or white vino....
Go on holiday and lose weight then - wow - but there are some lovely fish in the Med! One of my fav meals of all time was in a beach caff in Cyprus, a superb feta salad and then fish, chosen out of an old Coke fridge that was being used for storage and simply bbqed, a couple of beers each and for a fiver, Cypriot pounds for two.

Time to be off here, so have a good one all of you, grass cutting for me.

Oi, I don't need to lose weight....lol

I'm eating way more than I would at home. This is my perfect diet. I didn't eat meat for years, only fish, I only eat meat because I have to cook it for the boys.

I would miss my airport burgers though. It's the only time I eat them.

You need Sqad really but I did a unit on Physiology and that part of the brain is frantically trying to recall all the factors at play with fluid retention. Hot climate would certainly mess with your body's salt balance, which would influence fluid retention, in general. However, localised to the feet and ankles I would put it down to pooling of blood because you were stood up more than usual, yet not walking around enough to work the lymphatic system fully.

If exercise made the swelling worse then my thinking is wrong.

Since the swelling is due to fluid being pushed out of capillaries into the flesh, under pressure, loose fitting shoes which don't restrict the circulation would be a big help and strenuous exercise which increased your blood pressure even more might make it worse. You need GP advice, not mine.

Morning everyone else. Hope you are all well. I need to get some sunshine while it lasts. :D

The local doctor was happy with my health. My blood pressure is on the healthy side of low. The foot that swelled up really badly is an old injury and does have a tendency to swell.... Just not as bad as it got. Almost back to normal now.
