Maybe all these anti austerity groups should look at what is happening in Greece, who are now bankrupt and may not be able to pay the latest instalment on their loan.

I noticed there was program on TV last night about a UK family who have 14 children and get £70,000 a year in benefits.

NO country can continue to give out benefits at the level we are paying them out, we have to tighten our belts.

Levels of welfare are always contentious. Some folk genuinely need help. And what can be afforded is down to the economy, which has recovered far too slowly after the banks hit everyone's for six.

It's all very well complaining about some expecting us decent folk to fund them, but when one looks at the figures for how much the Tories need to reduce costs to fulfil promises, that's not trimming fat. It's difficult to know where the cuts can go deep enough. (Getting rid of child benefit aside of course.) I don't think there is a point that will satisfy all. Riots may be in the offing, we can only wait and see.
