I don't think that the phrase "sold out" is applicable. I'm unaware he spoke out against ads in the past.
Celebs doing them are either grabbing any money making opportunity that is available because they have financial problems or because they are incapable of accepting that they have a fortune already and should leave those opportunities to those who need the income.
I don't see an issue with suggesting that past experiences of sight show how valuable a sense it is.
@O-G yes, I agree the way the ad was constructed was great, it's just that I felt a bit sad when I realised Trevor had gone down the Michael Parkinson route..."and you get a free pen when you apply"....:(
