Calais
with the latest pictures showing illegals storming lorries, how long before they start on coaches, cars etc and weapons are used.
I am surprised anybody wants to use the port of Calais anymore.

Just a comment. We moved from France to UK on 11th March this year. The removal firm quoted in early February. The move took place, but when we took the guys to lunch in the local pub (an extra 'thank-you' for their efforts', they disclosed that they had made no profit because they had altered their travel plans to a more expensive crossing from Le Havre, because of the migrant situation at Calais.
A friend (source of our shipments of wine yeaaah!) who makes regular crossings in his van doing general deliveries and we give him B & B, said last time that he had gone to Dieppe rather than Calais and had had to increase his rates. So people are already avoiding it. Desperately bad for Calais and the French, you have to understand how fed-up they are (but they can't be allowed to renege on agreements).

When we went to France on holiday a month ago we saw the Calais situation ourselves. It was horrendous. Hundreds of males wandering around the roads out of town. The place where they were living was awful. Sheets of plastic draped over undergrowth, blankets acting as covers over undergrowth. It was appalling to see. The area stretched out of sight. There was a heavy presence of heavily armed police patrolling the area too.
