Not a huge Lenny Henry fan but thought his role was carried off beautifully.

It was an ok first episode, introducing the main players and little side issues. And i personally thought that Lenny Henry did a decent enough job as an autistic gardener. At least he didn't try and copy Dustin Hoffman (Rainman) as so many others have done since '88.

Lenny Henry portrayed autism perfectly. Over exaggerated emotions, fearof change and his obsession with numbers. Also lack of social understanding.

Who IS John Coffey ? Lenny Henry played the role very well.

Because....... I think they tried to portray Lenny Henry's character as a bumbling gentle giant 'type' as John Coffeys character in The Green Mile, not forcing my opinion on anyone, as always, it's just my opinion, and in my opinion LH is not a good actor

I've just watched it and had to switch it off after about 20 minutes. It was too rushed and, I felt, too stage managed. Sad, because I enjoyed the last one with Alison Steadman. There was just something not quite right about it if that makes any sense at all.
